The young women at the center were able to visit a workshop on HIV and AIDS at the
Imam Khomeini Hospital AIDS Research Center in Tehran. The workshop was headed by
Dr. Minoo Mohraz, a prominent Iranian AIDS specialist and her team.

Dulwich (London) is a long way from Tehran, and the life that the students of the Alleyn's School (London)
experience in comparison to the young people being helped by Omid Foundations, could
not be further apart. But, knowing that they were young girls "just like us but without the
opportunities" drove students at the Alleyn's School (London) to raise almost £5,000 for
their counterparts in Tehran.
