Our Management
Problems of abuse, disadvantage and poverty exist all over the world, but the Omid Foundations focuses on helping girls who are suffering in Iran. Our Mission is to strengthen the social, emotional, and economic competencies of disadvantaged Iranian young women (aged from 15 to 25), providing them with a sense of self-worth and with the opportunities to experience a full range of life options through self-empowerment, education and training.
Our Management and Organization
As charitable foundations, all three Omid Foundations are supervised by boards of trustees/directors and are chaired by Founder, Marjaneh Halati. The trustees/directors formulate and approve long-term goals and objectives, formulate and adopt policies, develop financial resources for achieving goals, adopt and monitor annual budgets and financial development plans, and monitor the achievement of goals and objectives.
In the operations in Iran, the policies set by the board of trustees/directors are implemented by an operational management team which is supported by more than 80 full and part-time employees and external specialists, most of whom are teachers, social workers, and clinical psychologists who provide counselling services.
